Doing Business & Project Process

Creative Phase 1
First, we conduct a review of every new client's corporate/brand identity and visual communication history. No fee is ever charged for this, it is just a normal part of doing business and getting to know a new customer.

Following this we review the project you are considering us to do for you. Client ideas and desires are evaluated in relation to anticipated goals. Judgments based upon our knowledge and experience are considered in conjunction with client needs and budget estimates. A project quote/production schedule is then developed and presented for evaluation and discussion with the client, see Terms & Conditions. Once terms and costs are agreed to, work begins.

Typically two or more rough concept layouts are produced within the guidelines and requirements agreed to by consultation with the client. Different "Design Avenues" are presented which fulfill the project requirements and are sympathetic to the client's likes and brand/corporate identity. Key aspects to be reviewed are 1) organization and prioritization of the message data to be presented and 2) the graphic "look" and why it works to enhance the message. Every attempt is made to satisfy the client's needs in one presentation. However, typically additional design phases are required as project guidelines and requirements evolve in relation to the design process.

Creative Phase 2
Frequently concepts and certain design elements from the first creative phase layouts are combined or revised to produce a new revised layout of the project. Headlines and text are edited, images adjusted and any client changes or additions are also incorporated

Creative Phase 3
Design and content is fine tuned in this layout which is presented for final approval before production begins. This layout will resemble as closely as possible the finished piece and helps to eliminate changes during production. During and after each phase, the design and content of the project is reevaluated to be sure the budget and production schedule remain on track.

Production Phase 1
All the elements necessary to the project that have not yet been made available are obtained or produced by Ad&i: artwork, photographs, logos, charts, graphs and final text etc. From these elements a complete and precise digital file is created for print production or output of display panels in the case of trade shows.

Production Phase 2
Production supervision, including final color proofs and on-press color approval is typically provided by Ad&i to insure the best possible completion of the project. Print production is typically contracted on behalf of the client, who makes payment direct to the printer. Please review the Printing Industries of America, Inc. "Printing Trade Customs". Ad&i follows up on delivery and reviews the use and results of the project to improve and better serve future client needs.
